What some of our guests have said about us :

British Transport Police Group (45 Guests)

17th - 20th May 2004
21 May 2004

Hi Geraldine,
I hope you are enjoying the peace and quiet now we have left, I am writing as a thank you for all the hard work and the first class help you have given me over the last year, it really did make my job a whole lot easier. I would also ask that you could bring the following to the attention of Michael Bowes in way of thanking not only yourself but also the following people: Val, Deidre, Ronan all the chefs and catering staff, the housekeepers and chamber maids and the green keeping staff.

I can honestly say that I have never been treated with such professionalism and courtesy by staff at any location I have stayed in playing various tournaments. All the staff are a first class reflection of Fernhill and every one of them as well and yourself and Alan did everything in their grasp to ensure we all felt well looked after.

As I had said during the week I have never heard my group arrive and depart without a moan, all I heard was compliments and comments about the high standards that you manage to achieve right through from the rooms to the food and the course.

As a final note I extend my thanks to Philip Murphy for his kind attendance at our dinner, I will speak to you soon and will no doubt see you in the near future.

Best Wishes,
DEL RULE

And some of the people who have stayed with us :

The Dirty Dozen from East London

May 2004:
This is the Dirty Dozen from East London these lads have been coming every year since we opened.

The Dirty Dozen have grown from the early days and now have 16 members. They hope to keep growing too - maybe a new name is in order! And Congratulation! to the latest lad in the society, Gery from America - he is in the middle of the right picture.

We asked them this year what is the attraction at Fernhill. They said they like the golf course, they like the staff, and they feel at home. They look forward to theire week at Fernhill each year and we look forward to welcoming them back next year.

If you would like any further information you can contact George at his email address: golfgwe@aol.com (he is the good looking one- 2nd from left in the the left picture)

The Saint Thomas Aquinas Golf Society

The Saint Thomas Aquinas Golf Society Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghampshire in England have already enjoyed six trips to Fernhill. The fact that the society keeps returning to Fernhill year after year tells it own story.

For value for money we would be hard pressed to imagine going anywhere else. The golf course provides a test for golfers of all abilities and the clubhouse is the perfect place to relax and discuss your round.

The accommodation is excellent and the staff are friendly. What more could a golfer want? Good golf, good food, good Guiness and good craic!

Why not try it for yourself?

Humbugs Golf Society:

Humbugs, from Telford in Shropshire, was formed in 1998 with just twelve players for a bit of fun, and on our first outing, played in Wales. We now have thirty paid up members, with many more wishing to join us.

Each year we have 2 to 3 golfing days and a long weekend which are very well supported and often we have to turn down outsiders due to the big interrest of our own members, who, will tell you what a fantastic times is had wherever we go golfing, and of course socially.

The feeling of everyone concerned with the Humbugs of our present tour to Fernhill, is one of great satisfaction and enjoyment, we've heard of the friendly Irish, and the staff at Fernhill are great and we have now experienced it first hand.

Thanks very much for having us and we sincerely hope you will have us back to your top class complex. We are coming back again.

Yours,
J. Cooper, F. Drummond, A.R. Ellis, J. Roberts, J. Copson
